How did you get into DJing?

Since I can remember I’ve loved dance music. I first started listening to house and electro when I was 11 and counted down the years until I was able to go to Festivals. I always found mixing interesting and would watch the DJs and constantly listen to mixes. Then I discovered Hardstyle and that changed everything. I took a DJ course and really loved it, and that was 4.5 years ago. I’ve been mixing hardstyle/rawstyle ever since. ️

What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?

I simply just practised a lot and would keep listening to the tracks, because it’s important to know the songs you’re mixing. Recorded myself and listened to it and also asked other DJs for tips and tricks.

What did your first set up look like?

I actually first started with Virtual DJ on my laptop, and borrowed a friends controller. After a while I bought myself CDJ 350s and a DJM 400.

What does your current setup look like?

I recently purchased the XDJ-RX2 and I’m so happy with how awesome it is!

How did you get your DJ/Artist name?

Well my name is Michelle and a lot of people call me Mish. So why not just make it my DJ name too.

If you could DJ at any 3 events/festivals what would they be?

Defqon.1, Supremacy ,Intents Festival

If you could DJ in any 3 cities what would they be?

I’m going to choose countries because I’m honestly grateful for any international bookings. Anywhere in America ,Spain, Mexico. Oh and also Australia again.

If you could be a tour DJ for any artist (dead or alive), who would it be?

There are so many amazing artists in the world but honestly I would choose Sickmode (my boyfriend). I look up to him as an artist and we always have the best time together. So touring together would be absolutely amazing! Otherwise I would choose Chocolate Puma. Their tracks are absolutely amazing!

What is your goal when you play live?

For many years I’ve been the person in the crowd who was making bass faces, screaming on the drops and crying from happiness. So when I’m behind the decks I want to be the person who makes everyone experience the same things I did and still do. There is no better feeling in the world than hearing people scream from loving the tracks and to see the pure happiness on their faces. I want people to walk away saying “damn that set was amazing”.

What’s your go to song right now?

I’m Gone - Joyryde. Such a banger!

My rawstyle go to song would be my collab “Area 51” with Sickmode because I’m just so proud of it. I literally get goosebumps every time I hear it haha.

What is your dream as a DJ?

My dream is to eventually make this my full time career and travel the world, playing at events & festivals. I would also love to one day have a fundraiser rave for animal charities because I love animals just as much as music. ️

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become a DJ?

Really get to know the tracks you want to play and think of awesome transitions you can do. Nerves are normal and try to find your own groove. Don’t let haters or negative comments bring you down. Practise as much as possible as most importantly, be kind. ️
