Vero G Interview | Respect the Artist
Vero G sat down with us to talk about her creative process, dreams, and new project 'Here I Am'.
How did you get your Artist name?
I broke it down on my name into the artist name I have now.
How did you get into creating?
I started at a very young age at the age of 7 years old realizing this was a gift from God and I had to pursue this mission to give to the world. The first song I ever wrote was called 'Teardrops' talking about a breakup song. At the age of 15 years old. Since then I became addicted to songwriting.
How has creating changed your life?
How creating has changed my life has given me the reason to tell my story and the experiences I have endured in my life to others to listen as they can also relate. As it also helped me through my personal ordeals in my life.
Where are you from?
NYC
How did growing up in your neighborhood/city affect you?
How growing up in my neighborhood has affected me by seeing how living in the hood molded me the person I am today. To be tough but to also have a caring heart and to speak my mind. Be a voice for others who need to be represented.
What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?
What I did to advance my skills was to practice, and believe in my craft, keep putting great content into anything that I put myself into.
What does your current setup look like?
My current setup looks like greatness and more blessings coming for me in 2022.
Who inspires you? Why do they inspire you?
I have a few people that inspire me in what I do a few of them are my father who may he rest in peace, my family, my team, my fans, supporters, and all who believe in my work and platforms.
What is your goal when you create?
My goal when I create is to think about the impact I would want to leave behind for those who can appreciate my music or anything that I do.
Why do you create?
The reason why I create is to express how I feel and to inspire or motivate anyone who has a dream they want to pursue and see come to life.
What's your go-to song right now and why is it important to you?
There are a few go-to songs that mean a lot to me a few are Whitney Houston 'I Look to You', Selena - All her music, Noah Cyrus 'Lonely', and a few other songs.
What is your dream as an artist and what steps are you taking to reach your dream?
The dream I have as an artist is to keep working on my platforms to help others out there to get their voice to be heard, to keep putting great music out there for people to enjoy, and to one day perform at the white house or get my hard work out there. How I am taking those steps to reach my dream is to keep working hard each and every day and never giving up and keep that fight of that one-day things will happen to me.
What is the best advice you would give someone with a dream?
The best advice I would give to someone who has a dream is to never give up. We all have dreams to be someone or do something in this world to impact it. I say you go right ahead and go as far as you can.

Through my ups and downs, I am making my name and my music known. As the title Here I Am is the pivotal point in me marking my artistry.
