Jason Raider Interview | Respect the Artist Interview
How did you get into creating?
I loved music as a kid and growing up generally. I feel in love with rap in 6th grade after writing my first poem. I've written music ever since, improving year after year.
How did you get your Artist name?
My name is Jason Robert Raider. I took the short form for Jason cuz people used to call me Jay. The R stands for Robert and Raider
Where are you from?
Im from Tanzania but I live in Denmark
What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?
By spending alot of time learning and listening to great artists projects and previous work. Self confidence and self belief is a key. But also lots and lots of practice, which is something I still do till today.
Who inspires you?
Alot of artists, actors, athlest inspires me, but mostly anybody who has a dream and loves what they do passionatly and does it with the best of their ability. That motivates me more than anything.
What is your goal when you create?
My goal is to inspire people, motivate, uplift, educate and tell my story. Also entertain and create a different vibe that people havent heard before.
What's your go-to song right now?
At the moment alot of song but real quick off the top.. Roddy Ricch "The Box"
What is your dream as an artist?
My dream as an artist is to create a great and meaningful legacy.
What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become an artist?
I would tell them to follow their heart and do exacltly what they love. Fear shouldnt stop you because it only exist in you. Practice alot and learn more and use what you learn into your process.
