How did you get into creating?

I started out as a dancers from age 4-16. Did vlogs on on YouTube before it was a thing then got the radio bug in high school. I always wanted to be in entertainment but didn’t know exactly what... my middle eastern patterns would be ok with lol this catapulted my passion to find my voice.

How did you get your Artist name?

It’s my real name , Maroc was given to me at power1051 as an intern. One of the djs I worked for couldn’t remember my name for the first few weeks but called me Maroc because I’m Moroccan.

Where are you from?

 Queens. Live in Staten Island

What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge? 

I try to always be a student

What does your current setup look like? 

I work out of various studios

Who inspires you? 

Other dope women killing it and pushing the culture forward.

What is your goal when you create? 

With music it’s personal. I started as a creative outlet. So I just like to have fun with it & experiment with sounds. If it’s catchy to my friends I know it’s A THING

What's your go-to song right now? 

Jhene Aiko - surrender

What is your dream as an artist?

I’d be happy as a one hit wonder lol I just want to create an anthem for people that my words resonates with.

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become an artist?

There’s no such thing as success over night. Be as useful as you can. And enjoy the journey
