ALAKEZH Interview | Respect the Producer
How did you get your name?: It's so simple. My real name is ALAKESH so I just Change letter 'S " Into ‘Z”and it comes like ALAKEZH it's just adding to make it sounds cool.
Where are you from?: I’m from INDIA , Northeast ASSAM
How did you get into Producing?: I was always into making beats. Ever since I was younger I always wondered what goes on behind the scenes and how a song is actually created.
When I turned 17, I would download softwares just to mess around, I didn’t really know what I was doing, but it was something I was never getting bored of. When I got to college I started my first year as a business student, but then I found out about Full Sail in Orlando, and saw that they had bachelor programs related to audio (I didn’t even know that existed).
What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?: Basically watched a whole lot of Youtube videos. Like Andrew Huang, Kyle Beats, Simon Servida and LifestyleDidIt. I took a lot of inspiration from them and really just trying a bunch of things. I still learning every time I'm get something new and I think it will never stops.
What did your first set up look like?: My first set up was an Old Intel second generation PC its too slow and week for work . Also i don’t have any studio monitors i was just used my old home speaker , I used the DAW FL STUDIO 12 .
What does your current setup look like?: Now I using 5th Generation setup with RYZEN 5 Processor , with 8 GB GPU also i useing MacBook Air for my seconder setup most of the time i have to carry my setup so i use my laptop as a secondary setup , also I sifted from FL To logic . But all the end i have to say Setup don’t matter the all you have the passion for the music .
If you could produce for any artist (dead or alive), who would it be?: Honestly speaking I want to produce for all artists. Never add a specific target artist.
What is your goal when you create?: To come up with something fresh and learn something new with each producing sessions, as a producer, I think you can always learn new stuff and methods and you have an endless ammount of possibilities in terms of sound design.
What's your go-to song right now?: I am working on my new upcoming project Name ROSHNI - THE ILLUMINATION
The ROSHNI Means the light , This will be INDIAN Bollywood EDM style , it will be soon Available on all major platforms . So stay tune .
What is your dream as a Producer?: My dream as a producer is to keep learning new things , produce as many songs as possible and I really like working with other people, so definitely to be working together in the studio with some bigger name artists. But I also want to focus on my own music.
What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become a Producer? : Keep making music, honestly. the more you produce, the better you become. The more you learn, the better ideas you'll develop. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you! If that’s your dream then just go for it!, No matter where from you are what you are and what gears are you using , just make your dreams alive .
