O. Live 'Catharsis' Interview

We sat down with O.Live to talk about his new album 'Catharsis'.

What inspired the title?

I found out about this word in 2011. It was so deep to me and fully explained how I feel when I write and record songs. It fits perfectly with this album because the material is so introspective.

Where did you record this album?

Mo Sound Group in Irvington, NJ and The Stoo in Orange, NJ

What is your favorite track? Why?

OverThinkers. I was able to discuss the issues I was going through at the time. Anxiety and overthinking is real and I was able to understand and work through them by writing this track.

What is your favorite line from the album?

More focused I'm much wiser no longer sitting on tracks that dumb fire
2020 sat me at home like umpires then writer's block blocked my shine like sun visors

Who helped make this album what it is?

My producers JaNye, Moses the Raven, and the HitSystem. My R.E.A.L. Music team and all the features ( K-Proetic, Moses the Raven, ayoRico, Blackberry Sweet, and Perrie)

If you could remix any song and feature any artist, what song would it be and who would you feature on it?

I would remix '80 Burchard' and add my R.E.A.L. Music team to it.

What's your dream?

My dream is for my music to fund everything that I do.

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream?

Don't stop pursuing it and please stay focused. Your dream can and will become a reality.
