Introduce yourself: Iyat Abdelfattah 34yrs young from Brooklyn NY of Palestinian descent, I have a degree in communication design and advertising design.

How did you get into creating?

I got into creating from a young age expressing myself through art and design.

Where are you from?

I am from Brooklyn NY but my bliss is Palestinian from Beit Hanina which is East Jerusalem.

How did growing up in your neighborhood/city affect you?

My neighborhood which was bayridge Brooklyn had a great Arab American community.

What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?

I got a degree.

Who inspires you?

The media inspires me I get triggered by certain aspects of media and want to spread awareness and the truth of any current event taking place.

What is your goal when you create?

To move people mentally and emotionally.

Why do you create?

To spark interest in current events.

What would you tell someone else with a dream?

Don’t let negativity discourage you from your dreams.

Tell us about your most recent release

My most recent release was for about a grandfather losing his grandchildren in the current genocide taking place in Gaza. It was a pain anyone with a heart felt and broke my his response calling his granddaughter “the soul of my soul.”
