Hoppy is Not like the other kids

Colt Hopkins is the frontman and is how Hoppy got its name. 

“I've never really fit into a certain group. At the end of the day, I'd usually be found in my room writing or drawing, who knows? As a teenager, sometimes this is rough, as I'm sure almost anyone can attest, we all want to be accepted. Luckily for me, I've been making music long enough to understand that the more alone you are, the more desperate your mind gets for some noise. Cue the guitars! Give me my guitar, I'll be content for hours. Maybe that's why I fell in love with playing live, you get the best of both worlds! Maybe I'm not different at all, there could be millions like me, but I don't care, I'm happy with what I've created.

When it comes to dreams, I dream of the future. Hell, a day hasn't gone by since I was 12 that I don't think of how I can further a career in music. Some might say that this is a dangerous way to operate and life will inevitably pass you by. To that, I say, hooey. Life is built on dreams, and if you don't have the imagination to think farther than today, what exactly are you living for?

Music for me is a way for me to have a voice I wouldn't normally have. To help people with their everyday problems is one my passions. Maybe only a hundred people will ever hear what I have to say, but then at least a hundred people will feel less alone than they did yesterday, and that's the best kind of dream anyone can ask for. “
