Ayisa is Not like the other kids

“I am Not Like the Other Kids. I was born, first generation American, to interracial parents. My dad, Bahamian, and my mom, Filipino. I grew up with my mom and two sisters - who were born from a different father of a different race than I - and that always made me feel like the black sheep in my own family, literally. Today, I still struggle with my identity, pursuing the dream of being the front woman of a band in a predominately white music scene that has very few female role models. ”
What's your dream?
“I want to create. I want to be an artist and I want to inspire others to be whatever they set their mind to.”
