How did you get into barbering?

Always appreciated a fresh cut - whether it was admiring someone else's or just chillin’ in the barbershop and getting mine.

What did you do to advance your skills/knowledge?

 Watching a ton of videos and implementing it into my work. 
Live lectures - hands on classes 
Recording the cutz I did then watching them to correct form, posture, hand positioning, blending. A lot of practice and consistency. 
ALWAYS and still learning.

Where do you cut hair?

 Untouchable Cutz in Dongan Hills.

What does your setup look like?

 CLEAN and neat with all the sanitary tools you can get. 
Love my scissors just as much as my clippers.

What is your goal when you cut someone's hair?

 Make them feel and look their absolute best. It’s not always about the cut. I pride myself in customer service.

What music do you prefer to listen to when cutting hair?

 Usually hip-hop late 90s - late 2000s. Also enjoy nice smooth jazz even just instrumentals and sometimes house. All depends on the season and time of day.

Tell us the story about the first haircut you ever gave someone

 It was a shape up that I did on my boy Scott basically was just learning at that point, but I laced it. At least I thought I did.

Tell us a story about a haircut you will always remember

 I’ll always remember cutting hair in my parents kitchen. My mother hated it but still let it rock while I gained the skills to actually work in the shop. Thanks Ma!

What is your dream as a barber?

 My dream was always to make people happy. Whether it be through a haircut or conversation or whatever making people feel good was always a goal no matter what. I remember going to the shop when I was a kid, there wasn’t many better feelings than leaving the shop with a freshy.

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream to become a barber?

 Study and practice. Be kind and listen to everyone who sits in your chair. Be consistent
