What inspired the title?

The "Baby Boy" nickname is symbolic of innocence and youth. No matter how much I mess up or grow apart, I'll always be Baby Boy to the people who love me. Each song details that in a different way, all culminated with the outro title track.

Where did you record this album?

My studio is out in New Jersey, so everything was recorded there. Shouts to Mike Nitty

What is your favorite track? Why?

The title track "Baby Boy" will always be special to me because of how vulnerable I was while writing it. It wasn't easy to write that song, but it was necessary. HOWEVER... I think "Smile" is the best song I've ever created. That sh*t is beautiful.

What is your favorite line from the album?

"I'm jotting down my thoughts to get some pocket change, I wrote 'Sniper' for somebody who was not in range/ She dodged a bullet, I'm dodging texts so we equal, the pen is the mighty gun in the holster who told you that we were peaceful?"

"Sniper" is an EP I released in November of 2018. I wrote it while talking to a girl who I thought at the time was a little out of my league, and things didn't end up working out but it was probably for the best.

Who helped make this album what it is?

Creating this album was a rollercoaster but definitely a great experience. I have 4 of my favorite artists featured on it, (Marlon Craft, Kota the Friend, Prince Wiser & donSMITH), I showed growth sonically and lyrically, and I structured it exactly how I wanted to. The experiences I've had over the last 2 and a half years while being away at college influenced this album heavily, but coming home for breaks and leaning on my family for moral support has also been huge in getting it to this point. My dad is my number 1 supporter in everything I do and this was no different. Would be too much to list everyone who influenced this album but they know already. Shouts to Mike Nitty, my mama, Kyle, Keylee, and my whole family. Love y'all.

If you could remix any song and feature any artist, what song would it be and who would you feature on it?

This a really good question. I love everything how it is but this got me thinking. Nipsey Hussle on "Prayers" would be crazy. Mac Miller on "Smile" would be perfect. Kehlani on "Say Less" would be outta here.
