How did you get your Artist name?

I got my name playing basketball. It was a play off my real name (Moses). I got the name when I was 16. I had a different rapping name, but because I was more known for playing basketball I started to run with Holy Moe for music as well

How did you get into creating?

My older brother was an artist. I always followed in his footsteps. He played ball so I did and when he started rapping I picked it up as I got older

How has creating changed your life?

Music helps me express myself. Music is therapeutic. I’ve been able to travel around the world because of music and give a inside look to the world of a kid growing up in the inner city who never fell victim but was still so close to things going on.

Where are you from?

I’m Liberian but was born and raised in STATEN Island New York. I grew up in a neighborhood called Parkhill, which is the same neighborhood as the Legendary rap group Wu-Tang

How did growing up in your neighborhood/city affect you?

My neighborhood was like any other inner city neighborhood around America. Property, guns, drugs, violence, but I think the people that make it out of these circumstances are Destin for great things. My neighborhood often times showed me everything I didn’t want to for my life as I got older and that made me work harder at everything I do. I love my neighborhood because although things wasn’t the greatest it made me the man I am today

What does your current setup look like?

I often times go to the studio alone. I don’t like to many distractions. Only when I’m filming is when I invite a lot of people to my sessions.

Who inspires you? Why do they inspire you?

These days I’m inspired by my kids. They keep me going keep my creating keep me motivated. Through my hardwork I hope they pick up on those traits as they get older and do the things that they love

What is your goal when you create?

My goal when creating is to be as transparent as possible. I feel my audience live when they know my art is coming from Amtrak place

Why do you create?: I create to free my mind, and get things off my chest, and honestly creating make me happy

What's your go-to song right now and why is it important to you?

Holy Moe - Where I’m From. That song is something I think I’ll forever perform. It connects deeply with who I am and what and where I represent
