Hip Hop has had an interesting love affair with the world of finance. Dex McBean aims to turn the tide with his financial literacy album WeA.L.T.H./WeAllLiveToHustle.

What inspired the title?

The album title was inspired by the ambition of financial freedom. Wealth is what every employee, CEO, Entrepreneur and Artist strives for. The freedom that wealth can provide for us and generations beyond, is literally what We All Live To Hustle for.

Where did you record this album?

I recorded this album at ODS studios, in Brooklyn New York

What is your favorite track? Why?

My favorite track on the album currently is the upcoming single WeALTHY. The song itself is very high energy with lots of cadence transitions and the hook is an infectiously melodic hip hop anthem for wealth manifestation.

What is your favorite line from the album?

My favorite line from the album is "Rich is temporary but WeALTH is generational!"

Who helped make this album what it is?

The album was completely written by myself and produced in its entirety by Ghost Dave, who has production credits with Griselda members Conway the Machine, West Side Gunn, Flee Lord as well as Mysonnne and others.

If you could remix any song and feature any artist, what song would it be and who would you feature on it?

My dream Remix would be Jay-Z on the debut single WeALTHY. There is a line from his Ameican Gangster album on the song No Hook where he says "F... Rich let's get Wealthy" that line was the inspiration for my song. It will be kismetic when it happens.

What's your dream?

I have aspirations because in my opinion dreams are just wishes you don't have a plan for. I aspire to first get 5,000 pre-saves on the album. Next would be to support myself and my family through music, while spreading the message of financial freedom in a meaningful and impactful way.

What is some advice you would give to someone with a dream?

Convert your dreams to aspirations, create a plan to pursue them and make them reality.
