What inspired you to pursue your dream, and how did it all begin?

I began various performing arts as a child. I was in marching bands, choirs, sports and ministry. My mother pushed me to try whatever I was interested in.

There are many inspirations for my pursuit of this dream that is now a reality. Here are some of the main contributors to inspiring me;

Music: Keith Sweat, Brandy, Usher, Yolanda Adams. Ce Ce Winans, Jodeci, Chris Brown and the list goes on.

Fashion: my late aunt Patricia Slade, sister; Carrie Boone.

Acting: Martin Lawrence, Morris Chestnut, Morgan Freema, Samuel Jackson.

Preaching: Rev. Nathaniel Higgs

Can you share a defining moment in your journey that shaped your perspective and fueled your passion? Defining and Re-affirming moments for me are when I come across people who I don't know or remember that share stories of how my work has touched them.

How do you handle setbacks and keep pushing forward in the pursuit of your dreams?

"Setbacks" are common to all humans, in every carrer and every aspect of life. They are challenges and lessons. While I'm in the thick of going through a "setback", I go through many phases from frustrated to accepting that this is how life works, to brainstorming about how to break through the given challenge and finally rejoicing about what I've learned and am now able to accomplish and build once I champion the "setback".

Are there specific individuals who have inspired you along the journey?

In addition to the entertainment inspiration, previously stated. I was inspired by my late father Calvin D. Tucker Sr. Who passed away in 2021 due to a battle with ALS. He is my hero and taught me everything; from automotive to weight training sports and more. He taught me to have plans A-Z in order to ensure success in life.

How do you maintain a balance between pursuing your dreams and handling everyday responsibilities? Balancing my dreams and everyday responsibilities has become "First-Nature". I am well over 20 years settled as an Entertainment Specialist. I have learned how to Time Manage, Set Alarms when I need to, SAY NO when I need to, and pray for attentiveness to the spirit of discernment that God has given me. This allows me to know which opportunities to take and to turn down.

Spirit stability, including my prayer life and relationship with God through Jesus; The Christ keeps me centered and empowered to take on every day with aggression and a spirit of positive expectation. Being centered cuts down on anxiety and focused on my dreams.

How do you overcome self-doubt and stay confident in your abilities?

I love to take "Stress Naps". When I feel bombarded and overwhelmed, I sleep. I only second guess myself when I want a project to be as perfect as possible. I don't have self doubt in wondering if I am Qualified. Talented or Good enough for anything.

Can you share a memorable success story or achievement that resulted from your determination?

One of my proudest achievements in Modeling was when I was featured in a 3 Page Spread on a 30 foot tall, LED Bilboard in Baltimore City. It was an amazing feeling and I hope to do a lot more.

In what ways do you stay motivated during challenging times?

During challenging times I Pray, Sleep, Workout, Watch movies in the actual theater, Create songs, Fashion, or other creative writings. I love driving and self care. I get massages and use the sauna, hot tub and steam room in the gym to relax as well. Talking to close loved ones is a great way to feel supported and understood.

What advice would you give to someone with a dream?

Never Give it up, Research everything about it, Network and make meaningful connections and lasting connections like I did with Dave from Stereotype Co., Promote yourself and your projects, Try to build a team to help, but if you can't build one, still push by yourself.

Work a regular jobs and do your dream as much as you can until you are financially stable enough to take a chance on yourself full time.
