Why did you make this album?

Following a period of discouragement and lack of self-confidence, I took time for myself to reflect on Life and what it meant to Live. The happiness gained, the memory of pain, and the daily struggles were all key components into making this project. Thematically speaking, ‘ViB-EZ’ explores the feeling(s) one may have when experiencing the sensation of Good/Bad Vibes. Whether it’s pleasure, self-assurance, passion and rage, or even self-doubt, all of us as a people can relate to it. This project primarily deals with the fight towards self-euphoria, yet also touches on decadence, escapism, necessities of life, pain, romance, belief in oneself, and gratification. No Matter Who YOU are... This Album is For You. #BEZMUSIK

What inspired the title 'VIB-EZ'?

To be honest with you it was a Snapchat filter. About two years ago I was just swiping thru some of the filters, trynna make my picture better than it was, and one of them said “Good Vibez”. At first glance I didn’t pay it no mind but after looking back I immediately saw my name.. B-EZ. I knew right then and there that this was going to be the next name for my project, no matter what. And every day after that the name “ViB-EZ” grew on me more and more which then influenced the concept of the album as a whole.

If you could do remix to one song on the album and anyone as your guest feature, what song what it would be and who would you have on it?

Many people I know have been begging me to do a remix to my second single “Wassup Wit’ It”. The sound is just so different plus the hook is catchy so I understand. But the one song I would really love aspiring artists to remix is “Bad Guy feat. St. Droper”. That beat, produced by yours truly, is just so ferocious to me and I would be honored if any artist would just Black Out on that track, with my permission of course. Do whatever you gotta do, just make sure it’s fuego amigo.

Who helped make this album what it is? Writers, Producers, Muses, Support System, Etc

First and foremost I must give a shoutout to my father/mentor/favorite emcee Optometrist. Without him B-EZ doesn’t exist and he definitely helped with some aspects of the album. Also would like to shoutout and thank my family and wifey for always supporting me through thick and thin. Whether that’s by having them listen to unreleased songs or streaming my singles every night, I will forever be grateful for you all. Lastly would like to thank and give a huge shoutout to the features of this album/“Da Smack Squad” Major (SBM), St Droper, and my boy Moose. They’ve been supporting me and this album from day one and will always be my brothers.

What is your favorite track? Why?

I have two favorite tracks on this album and they are “Live My Life” and “Waste Time”. I let it all out on these songs and honestly felt emotional after producing the beats and making the final mix down. They both were created during moments in my life when I was dealing with pain and even depression. They each give off a similar yet different message all can relate to and will always get me through the hard times. Looking back and remembering the struggles to even make these two songs to see that today they are finally released to the public is a true blessing. I hope that these songs and many more will get you through your struggles too.

What is your goal as an artist?

My goal is to simply inspire, and that statement alone can mean so much to so many. I can have all the hate in the world, have people bash my name and disrespect all that I’ve done thus far in my musical career, and have absolutely no revenue or profits from any of my songs/projects. But as long as my music can touch one person to where he or she feels connected, confident, and even happier, then I have reached my primary goal as an artist. The money, the fame, and the glorification are all secondary to me when it comes to my goals. As long as I can inspire that one person, connect with them through my music, teach them the lessons that he or she needs to hear to survive in this world, and show them to never give up on oneself, I will feel more than successful as an artist.

When did you know you wanted to make music?

I wanted to make music ever since I was young and saw my father and uncle Psyclonus work on the critically acclaimed album “Super Rhymes: The Pen And Pad Chronicles”. The love and talent for music is in my blood, and that alone is an understatement. I have been perfecting my craft and skills everyday since I was about six or seven. It wasn’t until I released my debut album “EZ Pass Fastlane Status” that I felt the confidence I needed to continue as an artist/emcee. But if I can pinpoint a specific date to when the rap gods called my name, it would definitely have to be when I was a young boy.

What is your dream now that you just accomplished this dream?Have you ever been Stereotype'd? Tell us more

My Dream is to keep succeeding in life so that my mother and father won’t have to pay another bill in their lives. If my music can take them and the rest of my family to the “promise land” then I will do any and everything in my power to make that happen. So many people have made sacrifices for me throughout my life and now it’s my turn. I will continue to break the stereotypes of being another statistic on society/the hood, of being another Hispanic/Black man who will eventually die on the streets, and of being a nobody from Staten Island. To give up now is to give up on my family, and that will never be an option.

Have you ever broke a Stereotype someone had of you? Tell us about it

The first lines I said on my song “Bad Guy” came to mind when I saw this question: “They always told me I wasn’t gonna be sh*t, lonely a con yeah a convict. Teachers failed me for every project but now I remain the main topic...”

People stereotype me everyday and tell me what they think is best for me and my career. I overcome them by being the strong individual that I am through my music or just in life in general. None of these people who talk down on me will ever walk in my shoes, deal with the cards I have been dealt, and will never be me. With all of the pain and struggle I have endured in my life I have no option to give up and I will continue to move the way I move and be the man I’m supposed to be. You don’t have to like me, but I will make sure that with everything I do to better my family, friends, and myself... you WILL RESPECT me

What advice would you give to something that is looking to pursuit their dreams?

As cliche as this sounds, just don’t give up. No pun intended but it won’t be easy and life will hit you hard as hell. Yet as long as you keep fighting for what you want, you will succeed. Take the criticism, learn but don’t run from it, work on bettering yourself, and chase your goals until you are tired and even then keep going. Love the Hate, grow from pain, and just be You. You Know The ViB-EZ!!!
